Vacancy: Finance Administrator

Location: Redditch

The Role

The Finance Administrator will assist the Finance Team by providing administration support with regard to the sales ledger and purchase ledger tasks, as well as other ad hoc finance administration, helping to maintain our reputation for quality and service

Key Responsibilities

To take responsibility for all aspects of the sales ledger, including:

  • Producing secured business reports from Optima and match to energy supplier confirmations
  • Raising Sales Orders
  • Raising Invoices both to energy suppliers and clients on Sage
  • Reconciling energy suppliers invoices on a site by site basis
  • Matching invoicing to Sales Orders
  • Maintaining accurate details to ensure accrued income is kept to a minimum
  • Keeping records of deferred revenue and match to revenue recognition policies
  • Scanning Sales agreements on to the systems
  • Query management on the Sales ledger
  • Assisting with scanning and saving finance paperwork on to the network
  • Undertaking general administration duties as required by team
  • Providing support to colleagues across the Company
  • Adhering to and supporting the Company’s Charters
  • Ensuring that the provisions of the Employee Handbook are complied with
  • Carrying out any other duties as may be required

 

Experience

Essential

  • Confidence in using IT systems, in particular Microsoft Excel and Word

Desirable

  • Experience of Sage Line 50 is beneficial but not essential

  • Confidence in building strong working relationships at all levels and in discussing financial issues
  • An effective communicator, both verbally and in writing
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Professional and enthusiastic approach, well presented and business-like
  • Ability to get on with others and be a team player
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and a good eye for detail
